Pecs massage?
My (female) cousin went to get a massage today, and the masseuse asked her if she wanted her ‘pecs’ massaged.  As in, her boobs.  Ummmmm……  for real?

New Years Goals
I don’t do New Years Resolutions.  I refuse to resolve to do something when I know there’s a 90% chance it will last no longer than a week.  Goals, however, imply that at some point during the year, I will do something.  Which means I can procrastinate and do nothing for the first few weeks of the year and still succeed. So, onto the goals: Travel somewhere new.  See something...

katespencer: I have never enjoyed this holiday, not even when I dressed up as a Puritan in the fourth grade. Especially not then. You want to know how much I hate Halloween? I wasn’t going to dress my 11-month-old daughter up as anything, much to the disappointment of the many friends who texted/emailed to… Yep, I feel the same.  The only enjoyment I get out of the holiday are a) candy...

fullcredit: WASHINGTON, Oct 17 (Reuters) - The Supreme Court said on Monday it would decide whether companies can be liable in this country for international human rights law violations, a case about Royal Dutch Shell Plc allegedly helping Nigeria violently suppress oil exploration protests in the 1990s. Apparently I talk in my sleep on occasion.
The boyfriend has started documenting what I say since he claims it's usually pretty off-the-wall. He sent me the transcript below, which is his documentation from last night. I remember nothing about this… not even a dream in which this could have been relevant. Good thing he loves me!
Scene: October 6, 2011. Amanda is asleep, Dave is reading on his phone, and mistakenly plays a short loud video. Amanda rolls over, seemingly agitated.
Dave: Sorry.
Amanda: (agitated) There’s a bean on the floor.
Dave: What are you talking about?
Amanda: A bean, a bean….a pepper. There’s a pepper on the floor.
Dave: Alright. Where is the pepper on the floor?
Amanda: It’s on your side of the bed.
Dave: (considering turning his bed lamp on to look at the floor) Are you awake? Are you joking?
No response from Amanda.
Dave: You’re awake, you’re not fooling me (looking onto the floor for a pepper)

Mets, Jets, Nets...
Tonight, someone tried to sell me on moving to San Francisco by listing all the sports teams there (I do love my sports).  I shot back that we have the Mets, Jets, Nets,…  and suddenly realized New York sports teams may as well be straight out of a Dr. Seuss book.
