I’m not quite awake yet, but feeling cheery and bright.
I love being with family on Christmas, though I do wish I got to sleep in a bed last night rather than on a couch…. my back is killing me! Younger cousins all “claimed” the beds before I got here. Boo!

Last night I went to The Moth StorySLAM. Its a story session where 10 people get up and talk about themselves, and 3 groups of people judge them. Talking about yourself and judging people; how thoroughly New York! The story tellers tell 5-6 minute stories (supposedly true) based around a common theme and at the end, there’s a winner (maybe they get to be on The Moth’s podcast?)...

– I had a lunch meeting today in midtown at 45th and 5th. I was late… this is why I’m not kidding. I don’t normally have problems like this with the cab drivers in the city, but today I was ready to climb in the front seat and take over.
